Never released as a single, Sense Of Life has enjoyed an untouched existence until now. Finding the right person to rework this Atjazz classic wasn’t easy, as this song needs a softer touch to take it to new grounds. The man with the sultry tones ‘QB Smith’ works out what he calls his “Hot Mix”, which is a perfect name to accompany the sound of his output here. Utilising the beautiful voice of Clara Hill to it’s fullest, QB rolls out a very lengthy and well-structured sequence of synthesizers drums and warm bass, working together to make an amazing ensemble of sound. The chords back this up and ‘loop’ effortlessly over seven bars as the song drifts over six beats, creating a wonderful experience of freedom. This set of remixes is full of depth and care for the original, we love it and we hope you do too.
